Wake Up Narcolepsy is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to increasing narcolepsy awareness, education and research toward improved treatments and cures. The Opportunity
The Director of Philanthropy serves as the principal fundraising officer and grants manager for Wake Up Narcolepsy (WUN). He or she is responsible for the oversight, planning and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising program that secures the significant financial resources from individuals, foundations, corporations and others to support WUN’s Strategic Plan. S/he manages all major gifts functions, which include principal gifts, planned giving, donor prospecting and research, and special one- or multi-year fundraising campaigns. S/he works with other staff and board members to establish fundraising goals and is accountable for these goals. S/he motivates and coordinates the efforts of a small team and volunteers – including the WUN Board of Directors – in the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors.
The Director of Philanthropy also manages the relationships with WUN Board Members, donors, vendors, corporate funders and cultivates new prospects. H/she also manages communications and marketing and supervises an effective volunteer program. H/She also manages a personal portfolio of 30 to 40 prospects and guides and supports the WUN ED in her fundraising work. S/he focuses on long-range strategic plan priorities, seeking to raise multi-year commitments when possible and communicates a broad vision to others. The Director of Philanthropy understands and complies with all gift-related policies and procedures and ensures ethical compliance, as defined by the Association for Fundraising Professionals. The Director of Philanthropy is supervised by the Executive Director.

This job requires the employee to stand, stoop, bend, climb stairs, and lift up to 20lbs. The position requires fine motor skill of typing, writing, filing and visual acuity. This position requires the ability to speak clearly and understandably.
Work Environment:
This is a remote position. 10-20% of time may be allocated for local travel.

The Opportunity
The Operations Administrator serves at the primary role to support the daily operations of Wake Up Narcolepsy. The operations administrator’s responsibilities may include responding to customer inquiries, keeping track of inventory, maintaining donor records, maintaining filing system and providing administrative support as needed.
To be successful as an operations administrator you should be able to oversee and ensure smooth and efficient daily operations. This candidate should be adaptable and have the ability to quickly learn various software. A top-notch operations administrator should be highly organized and thrive under pressure.
